What's coming up in Spring 2005?

Panels! Workshops! Raffle! New Resources!

Here are just a few of the new opportunities that will be available next semester:

Panels and other speaking engagements with lawyer-alumni: Several lawyers will be coming to campus to talk about what they do and how they got there. Topics include Public Interest Law, Legal Careers for Science Majors (including Patent and Environmental Law), Corporate Practice, Taking Time Off, and People of Color in Law. (Want to see other topics addressed by attorneys? Email me your ideas.)

Workshops: Expect workshops on the application process, financing your legal education, LSAT preparation and, for those starting law school next Fall, an introduction to the first year. (Looking for anything else? Email me your ideas for workshops, too.)

Raffle: Early in the semester, we will be raffling off one LSAT Preparation class, valued at over $1,000 and generously donated by the folks at Kaplan. Look for announcements and details in late January and early February.

New resources:
The Pre-Law Advising Office now has a computer dedicated to student use. Browse law school websites, check in on your LSAC account, or review our collection of CD-ROMs and DVDs about specific law schools and the legal education experience.
