News from LSAC regarding electronic applications
This just came in from the good folks at LSAC:
We are pleased to announce that, as of today, LSDAS registrants can access electronic applications for all ABA-approved law schools at no additional charge beyond their LSDAS registration fee (and individual law school application fees). LSDAS Electronic Applications replace the LSACD and LSACD on the Web software but incorporate the same convenient common-information form and flow-as-you-go features, allowing users to answer common law school application questions once and placing the answers in the appropriate spot in the individual law school applications selected. Many law schools prefer to receive their admission applications through this service—their level of preference is now listed as part of the electronic application program. Applicants can electronically attach personal statements, résumés, and other documents to each application.
LSAC will begin application transmission to the law schools during the first week of September, but applicants can fill out and save their applications starting today. Users must have a current LSDAS registration. Beginning in the fall, LSDAS electronic applications will be supported for Macintosh OS 9.1+ and OS X. We will let you know when that is available.
