New resources in the Pre-Law office

We have recently received the updated edition of Out and In: Information for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgendered Law School Applicants. This handy booklet, prepared by a committee of the American Bar Association, includes an array of helpful information, including responses to a survey of all accredited law schools regarding issues of concern to LGBT students (covering non-discrimination policies, open LGBT faculty, student organizations, etc.). This information is also available online.

We also recently received the latest publication from the Council on Legal Educational Opportunities (CLEO), the ABA-sponsored organization designed to assist economically disadvantaged and historically underrepresented students gain admission to and succeed in law school. CLEO’s informational materials and programming is aimed at students who are very early in the process of thinking about law school, i.e., freshman and sophomores. Also visit their website at www.cleoscholars.com.
