Slowdown in Processing of Letters of Recommendation
This came in from the good folks at LSAC regarding some problems they are having there with letters of recommendation:
Greetings from Newtown:
I am writing to let you know about a processing problem we are having here at LSAC.
Due to a combination of factors, we are experiencing a slowdown in our ability to enter Letters of Recommendations (LORs) into candidate files. This slowdown has resulted in a huge backlog of LORs for candidates, some of whom may be attempting to meet November 1 deadlines. We have brought in extra help, and we hope to have all of the backlogged LORs in the system in the next week.
Some candidates who have gotten their letters to us on time have been delayed a couple of weeks because of this processing slowdown.
